Branching off into Fashion Modeling

Well hello all. We have decided to add a touch of fashion modeling to our styles offered. SO yesterday we did a shoot with Ai Le Won…a great model to work with and a true professional. I did enjoy branching out into new territory and it turned out to be an amazing session. So this will be a permanent addition to our styles offered now. We went to a couple of different places yesterday and they turned out perfect for the ideas we were going for.

But prior to the shoot yesterday we visited the Norfolk Botanical Gardens….was a great time and also got to watch the planes land and take off along with a pic-nic…couldn’t beat that at all. SO thanks for stopping by and checking out yesterdays goings on. SO here a three shots from the session yesterday.

Observations!

Today the family and I went to the park with the kids and while the kids were playing and skating. The wife and I say a mother playing with her son on the jungle gym. You say that’s normal. But what not really. The little boy was blind. What is amazing about this is the fact that he had no fear in his surroundings. He took only a few minutes to remember the layout of the area and conquered it. What really amazed me was the fact that here is this little boy that has no fear in the world. This made me realize that we all take life for granted that what we see or here. Here is this little boy that has us beat hands down.

I know I sound like I am repeating myself but my observation to this situation us that unlike us he will never see the atrocities, travesties and bs we have see or will see he never will. After speaking with his mother for a bit, we came to find out he is like we thought, rambunctious and fearless. She doesn’t worry about him as much as she does her other two. At his young age he is self sufficient and independent…..I am so amazed.

So what I am saying here, it is always good to take time out from our busy lives and sit down and observe life, so that it doesn’t pass us by. You never know what you will find.

Happy 4th of July to you all

Just saying happy 4th of July to you all. Sorry I haven’t been around in awhile. Things have been extremely slow due to the economy and my full time job not leaving time for much of anything. What free time I do have I choose to spend with the family and that is important to me. Things are looking up and I have a few people contact me for some work for weddings and portraits. So hopefully more to follow on that in the next few weeks., So stay tuned.

Also I will be starting up lighting classes with live subjects. So if your interested in signing p for the class let me know.

It’s been awhile and Photovision.

To everyone out there. Sorry it has been awhile since my last post. Things have been very hectic around here with family and job stuff. We assure that all is well and we are all fine. So to update you on a few things. I (Adam) met with Scott and Adina Hayne of Hayne Photography yesterday. Great couple and excellent photographers. Their studio set up is top notch, yet very simple and easily manageable. But non the less a top notch studio. I wouldn’t have expected anything less from them. Thanks for the tour Scott!

Have we mentioned that we do not like the cold weather we are having up here in VA Beach. It’s spring already…bring on the cold weather. We am tired of bundling up and not being able to do a location shoot as much as we would like. But we know the warmer weather is just around the corner, so bring it on.

Been thinking about doing a western series for models to add to their portfolios. Hmmmm this will require some more deliberation.

Girl Scout Cookies, Weddings & Senior Portraits

Well it’s that time of year we all love…Girl Scout cookie Time. Just picked up the cookies today and get to start delivering them on Tuesday. My garage is full of them. Of course some of them are for me too….gotta love the Samoas and Thin Mints. I know what is for desert later tonight.

I just received some of the wedding photos from when I was second shooting last year. I had such a wonderful time and experience shooting each one. none were every the same and I have great memories from them all. To say the least it was something I will never forget. Sorry it has been so long since my last post. Things have been very hectic since recieving orders for Va Beach next month. So needless to I have been busy with all the preperations that go along with secureing a new house, movers and all the other stuff that goes along with it.

Now here are the Degraft twins. I shoot them as an 18th birthday present. They were so excited to shoot at the beach..it was a blast. So here are a couple of pics from the session.

MOVING!!!!!!!!!

My journey in this part of my life is coming to an end soon. I will be moving from the sunny state of FL to Virginia Beach next month because of the “real” job to start a new chapter. I am not happy about it but I have to do as they say. I am hoping that this new chapter in my life will lead to other and even more interesting collaborations. The things I am going to miss the most here are going to be all the friends I have made over the last 9 years and the studio.

But the things I have learned over the last couple of years is that I am able to adapt to whatever is thrown my way. SO this will a perfect challenge for me to see where it leads. Stay tuned for that part of the journey. But with me moving it does not mean that I am going to stop doing my ART one bit. There may be a month where I do not shoot any models but that will be due to the move and will be beyond my scope of reality at that moment. But after everything settles down and gets back tome form of normalcy I will be setting up shop again as soon as I can.

So to all my friends stay in-touch and keep an eye for what I will doing and what new things I will sharing here in the near future…it will prove to be interesting.

April’s Bridal Shoot

Did April’s Bridal photos today. We shot a combination of studio and the beach. The wedding will be tomorrow morning and last into the late afternoon. So for now enjoy the photos.
